Synopsis: A solar anomaly causes the temperature to rise to fatal heights in Los Angeles. This leads to power failures, fires, flooding from the melting of the mountain snows, and other natural disasters. Of course, many people take advantage of the situation and start looting. The story focuses on a doctor (James Remar) who had lost his license because of hospital politics, but rises to the occasion in the emergency, and an inner city school teacher (Kathryn) who also rises above the masses. Jonathan La Paglia appears as a parolee who harasses the teacher & is looking to make a buck in the turmoil by staging a robbery.
